Emma Jean Davis, age 85, of Italy, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010 in Mansfield, Texas. She was born July 13, 1925 in Lancaster, Texas to James Lynn and Lottie Mae (Wade) Weaver. Emma was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Italy.

Survivors include one son, David Lee Rudd and wife Rita of Waxahachie; four daughters, Norma Jean Watson Rouse and husband William of Eustace, Laurel Virginia Johnson and Emily Ruth Newland and husband Lester all of Arkansas and Mary Austin Crawford and husband Preston of Kempner; daughter-in-law, Susan Watson of Ennis; 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; two brothers, Donny Earl Weaver and wife Virginia of Italy and Olin King Weaver and wife Shelby of Athens; one sister, Betty Mae Boyd and husband Paul of Italy and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bobby Lynn Watson; grandson, Stephen Cory Rouse; brothers, James Weaver, Jr. and Bobby Joe Weaver; sisters, Ruth Ellis and husband John, Helen Pearl Powers and Hazel Rudd.

The family will receive friends from 1PM to 2 PM Friday, November 19, 2010 with funeral service to follow at 2PM at the First United Methodist Church in Italy with Reverend Krista Ingram officiating. Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Silas Parker, Eric Parker, David Parker, Rodney Parker, Leslie Lawson, Kaymelia Rhodes, Haley Slama and Crystal Clark.
