W. Odell Kelley, 1913-2010
W. Odell Kelley, age 97, of Italy, passed away Friday, December 03, 2010 at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab. He was born June 27, 1913 in Birome, Texas to W. O. and Etta McCrakken Kelley. Odell was a lifetime member of the Italy Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, James Kelley and wife Patsy of Kerens and Garlan Kelley of Italy; one daughter, Sheron Ward and husband Jerry of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Scott Kelley and wife Dana of The Woodlands, Jana Thompson and husband Jeffrey of Southlake, Randy Ward and wife Kristin of Midlothian, Jerry Dan Ward and wife Tami of Conroe and Gena Spurlock of Spring; 9 great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Ragland and husband Grady of Los Angeles, CA and Betty Ruth McGar and husband Harley of Fort Worth; two sisters-in-law, Faye Kelley of Rendon and Betty Thompson of Italy; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Odell was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Alice Vestal Kelley in 2004 and 9 siblings.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy.
Funeral services will be 1PM Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy with Mr. Walter Buchanan and Mr. Scott Kelley officiating. Interment will follow at the Dresden Cemetery.
