Do you remember writing letters to Santa? Do you remember the excitement it stirred inside you? It was such a fun thing to do and made you feel like you had a chance to get at least one thing on your Christmas wish list.

The Italy Post Office is giving you the chance to let your child write and mail his or her letter to Santa Claus. All you have to do is: Address the letters to Santa Claus, North Pole. Be sure the child’s name and address are printed legibly somewhere either on the letter or the envelope. Santa wants to get the right present to the right “Jennifer in Italy”. Parents/guardians could include a phone number that Santa could call them if he needed to verify anything.

All Santa letters need to be mailed before December 18th so that the Post Office has time to get the letter to Santa and Santa has time to answer the letter and get it back in the mail to the child.

Be sure and place a US Postage Stamp on the envelope especially if it is placed in a collection mailbox. There is also a “Santa Claus Mailbox” located in the service lobby of the Italy Post Office.

Terry Adams (Italy Postmaster) said, “We are just wanting the kids to be able to write to Santa Claus. We need everyone to get the letters to the post office real soon because Santa is very busy and we work very closely with Santa to get him all your letters and his letters back to you real quickly. If you get your letters in by December 18th we have a chance to get your letters to Santa, and if we get them early enough we can work around all the crazy winter weather and all the snow at the North Pole.”
