Santa comes to town a top a fire engine
In Milford it has become tradition for Santa Clause to come wish everyone Merry Christmas a top a beautiful red fire engine. The highway is cleared as the siren is sounded and lots and lots of Milford residents greet Santa.
Thursday around 7:00 pm Santa arrived in Milford at the Senior Citizens Center where there was hot cocoa and lots of christmas cookies for everyone as they waited to have their children’s pictures taken with Santa.
This year Santa was surprised when one of the children actually handed him a list of everything she wanted for Christmas. Santa said, “This is the first time this has happened and it really makes my job much easier.”
Milford Police Chief Carlos Phoenix said, "I am here helping out with all the traffic on Highway 77 because Santa Claus is coming into town on his fire engine. This is the fifth year we have done this. Doris January is a citizen of Milford and organizes this every year now. I enjoy it so much because the kids get such a kick out of it. Anything for the kids, Milford is all about the kids. "
Another wonderful sign that Christmas is near! Merry Christmas!
