Big “I” set to play in Big “D” — The Italy Gladiators will travel to the big city of Dallas and play a basketball game against the Mineral Wells Rams. The event takes place inside the American Airlines Center on Thursday, December 30 with a start time around 2:15 p.m.

The Italy Gladiators boys basketball team will take on the Mineral Wells Rams inside the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Thursday, December 30. Below is a schedule of events that the team and fans will need to comply:

TNT Network has picked up the game and that has led to a later start time for the Mavericks game. Gametimes are listed below in bold.

The Gladiators will play in the second of the three games that day. Mineral Wells girls and Wichita Falls Ryder girls will play at 1:00 p.m. Italy’s game vs. Mineral Wells will immediately follow, with a start time listed as 2:15 p.m. All fans will be required to exit the arena by 4:00 p.m. However, everyone may return for the Maverick vs. Spurs game at 8:30 p.m. that night. The same ticket will get you into all three games.

Everyone attending your game (including players, coaches, etc.) in the afternoon MUST HAVE a ticket for the Mavericks game that evening.

  • You will have access to the arena from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
  • Teams (coaches and players) may enter the arena around 12:30 p.m., but the fans may have to wait to enter at 1:00 p.m.
  • The time will be managed tightly, so teams must be ready to start their games on time, and recognize that we can NOT extend past 4:00 p.m.
  • The Italy Gladiators play the Mineral Wells Rams around 2:15 p.m. (Sooner if possible).
  • Everyone must be off the playing floor by 4:00 p.m., and out of the building by 4:15 p.m. That evening, the Mavs game starts at 8:30 p.m., and we re-open the building at 7:00 p.m.
  • Video cameras and still cameras are allowed during your game, but no flash photography or video cameras are allowed during the Mavs game.
  • Everyone should enter the arena via the doors on the West side of the AAC, (the side facing Highway I-35.) They will need to show their Mavericks ticket in order to enter the AAC.
  • Parking is available in the “F” parking lot to the north of the arena. Smaller vans are O.K., but full size school buses are not allowed in the “F” lot.
  • Italy Gladiator fans will sit in Sections 106 and 107 during the afternoon games. The evening game’s seating assignment is printed on your ticket.
  • A concession stand will be open and available.
