In the mid 90’s when Italy Youth Baseball started playing on Upchurch Field, Mr. Carter’s business donated money in multiple years to help with expenses, including a pitching machine. Each time I presented him with a plaque or certificate in appreciation of his donations he seemed genuinely embarrassed that we thanked him. We were truly thankful for any donations we received then. Thank you again Mr. Carter.
