Representing the Italy Gladiators in the 2011 FCA SuperCentex Victory Bowl III will be Jasenio Anderson. Jasenio is best known for his quarterbacking abilities on the grid-iron but filled several other roles for the Gladiators this past season including linebacker, field goal kicker, place kicker, punter and kick returner.

Being recognized for his talents on the turf and as a member of Italy High School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Jasenio has been selected as an All-Star player for the FCAs Red Team.

The FCA SuperCentex Victory Bowl is a real live football game pulling graduated seniors from the 12 county area the Heart of Texas FCA covers. Within the area are 85 high schools of every classification in Texas. Coached by local head coaches, players and cheerleaders are nominated by their coach or cheer sponsor and are selected by each of the Victory Bowl coaching staffs. Victory Bowl week begins the Wednesday before the game and is filled with service projects, entertainment, practices, clinics, and much more!

Jasenio will be responsible for $1,000.00 worth of expenses that are associated with participating in the game. The cost will cover lodging, meals, a page in the program, and up to 10 guests that can join Jasenio at his table during the FCA Victory Banquet on Friday, April 10, 2011.

To help with the expenses, Jasenio is asking for sponsors to help him meet the requirements. We are all used to relying on Jasenio to come through in the clutch, but now, he is depending on us. There are two ways sponsors can donate:

1.) Two separate sponsors can each pay $500.00.

2.) Ten separate sponsors can pay $100.00 each.

Please drop off donations at the Italy High School administration office, contact Jasenio Anderson directly at 972-217-2510 or contact Barry Byers at 972-921-1231.

“I am very proud to be representing Italy in the All-Star game,” said Jasenio. “Whether in a football drill, in a meeting or during the game, I will do my best to make you all proud of our town and our school. Thanks everyone for your support!”
