The Italy City Council will conduct its regular monthly meeting tonight, March 14, 2011. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers at 105 Main Street, Italy, Texas and will begin at 7:00pm.

Agenda Items include:

  • Discuss and consider necessary action(s) regarding H. R. Sanders addressing the Council in reference to 505 College St.
  • Discuss and consider necessary action(s) regarding Mackey Graves addressing the Council requesting use of the rail road easement for an alternate exit from the Italy Cemetery.
  • Discuss and consider necessary action(s) regarding South Ellis County WSC request that the City verifies with them the correcting of the connections between the Smokehouse and the Shell Center Complex.
  • Discuss and consider necessary action(s) regarding South Ellis County WSC request that the agreement to join water lines around the Shell complex from the City’s 10 inch line to South Ellis County WSC 2 1⁄2 inch line.
  • Discuss and consider necessary action(s) regarding Ordinance No. 11-0314-01, an Ordinance of the City Council of the city of Italy, Texas, providing for regulation and control of dangerous animals; providing for a penalty; providing a severability clause; providing a repealer clause; providing for publication; and providing an effective date.
  • Discuss and consider necessary action(s) regarding Resolution No. R11-0314-01 A Resolution of the City of Italy authorizing the Mayor to send correspondence to all elected Federal Officials who represent the citizens of the City of Italy, Texas, and to the United States Postmaster General, opposing any proposal to close the Italy Post Office and urging the continued operation, availability and viability of the Italy Post Office as an important service to the City of Italy and the city’s economic development; and providing an effective date.
  • Discuss and consider necessary action(s) regarding the concession stand at Upchurch Fields.
  • Discuss and consider necessary action(s) regarding putting a 30 yard dumpster at the sewer plant for citizen’s use at a charge to cover the cost of the dumpster.
