Ernestine Phillips, age 94, of Plano, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011. She was born May 7, 1916 in Mertens to Ernest and Beulah (Perry) Dickson. Ernestine was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Italy, where she taught Sunday school for 50 years.

Survivors include daughter, Tina Swenson and husband Craig of Plano; son, Joe Don Phillips and wife Zelma of Levelland; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Phillips of Dallas; 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Phillips and son, John Ernest Phillips.

Funeral services will be 2PM Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Central Baptist Church in Italy.
