Hudson and Kolton Smith, of Waxahachie, are auctioning off an authentic Texas Rangers baseball bat signed by Josh Hamilton to raise money for Relay for Life. This bat is special to Kolton because it was given to him personally one day when Josh spent time with Kolton during his treatment for leukemia.

Kolton wants very much to give back because the American Cancer Society helps so many and the Smith family knows personally how much that help means. If you would like to bid, please click the following link: [email protected] or call: 214-455-6364 and place your bid. The highest bidder will be announced at the Relay event, if not present, the highest bidder will be contacted.

“Josh gave Kolton the bat during the years he fought leukemia so it holds special meaning to Kolton. When my oldest son, Hudson, became involved in Relay this year, he asked Kolton if he would be willing to auction an item to help raise funds. Kolton glady agreed. He was so happy to give back to the ACS as we personally hold them dear to our hearts,” explains Kathy Smith.

Bidding is open until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20. The Relay for Life event is this Friday as well at the Sports Complex in Waxahachie at 7:00 p.m.

We thank everyone for helping, Kolton, make a sizable contribution to the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life.
