The Italy Volunteer Fire Department is accepting water and gatorade donations from the community.

“The department has always purchased these items to help keep the firefighters replenished on scene but the ongoing cost is depleting our operating funds,” explained, Captain Michael Chambers. “We are hoping local business, churches and citizens would donate cases of water and gatorade and drop them off inside the station.”

Donald Chambers, will be inside the station from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Mondays. Otherwise, any donated items can be left inside the station door.

So fight fire with cases of water and gatorade and help keep our hard working firefighters rehydrated.

Always dial 911 in emergencies.
