The Italy Park Board assigned members to prepare for the upcoming Christmas Festival scheduled Saturday, Dec. 3, in downtown Italy.

The event will include vendors in the downtown area, beginning with a parade and entertainment throughout the day.

Bruce Utley, president, sought members to take the lead in various areas – activities and volunteers, Jenna Chambers; advertising, Jason Escamilla and James Hobbs; donations, Utley and Hobbs; entertainment, Mayor Frank Jackson; parade; Utley, Hobbs, Michael Chambers and Ronda Cockerham; vendors, Carolee Farnsworth, Stephanie Wilson; and decorations, all members.

The group also decided to sponsor a food drive for the Italy Ministerial Alliance during the event.

Members not in attendance included: Janet Campbell, Michael Chambers and Dennis Perkins Jr.
