With fall temperatures finally here, Meals-on-Wheels is ready for its 24th Annual Golf Benefit set for September 15 at Hidden Creek Golf Course in Burleson. This event is one of the largest in the area with over 200 golfers and many volunteers participating. Bringing in over $75,000, the Golf Benefit proceeds directly support Meals-on-Wheels services.

“We still have a few afternoon tee times available, and it is not too late to get your Raffle tickets,” said Ike Vera, Golf Benefit Chairperson. Golfer registration and raffle tickets may be purchased online at www.servingthechildrenofyesterday.org. Tickets will be on sale through next Wednesday, and will also be available at the event on Thursday. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Prizes include round trip airfare anywhere Southwest flies, sporting event tickets including Dallas Cowboys and Rangers, restaurant, travel and wonderful gift packages! A total of $6,500 in prizes will be given away, in addition to the $5,000 available to the golfers playing.

This year’s Title Sponsor is Community Bank, and top sponsors include:  KMP Graphics, Fort Worth Harley-Davidson, Wells Fargo, Mago Construction, Wal-Mart Distribution Center, and Wal-Mart Supercenter of Burleson.
