ITALY — The JV Lady Gladiators will rematch Axtell inside George E. Scott Coliseum (Old Italy gym) starting at 5:00 p.m.. Axtell has been the only horn in Italy’s side being the only team to get a district win against our JV girls this season.

The JV Gladiators will tip-off action inside the Italy Coliseum Dome starting at 5:00 p.m., as well. Italy’s JV Boys are 5-1 in district play after a 50-31 win over Maypearl.

The varsity Lady Gladiators will challenge Axtell’s Lady Longhorns immediately following the JV Boys game. The Lady Gladiators suffered a tough 46-43 loss to Maypearl on Tuesday which has put them in a must win matchup against Axtell to stay in the hunt for the playoffs.

The Varsity Italy Gladiators will cap off the night against Axtell with the game starting around 7:30 p.m. Motivated by a pre-game speech from former teammate Heath Clemons, a 2011 IHS graduate, Italy scored their season high 88-points in a their win over Maypearl on Tuesday and are determined to keep their newfound momentum rolling tonight against Axtell after solid workouts this week.

Seating update:The Italy Coliseum Dome will flip-flop its Visitor and Home side bleachers permanently. Italy fans are being asked to sit on the side behind the score table (enter thru the front lobby and turn left).

Pack The Dome Night – Friday, January 27.
The Lady Gladiators and Gladiators invite fans to attend “Pack The Dome Night” on Friday, January, 27 when Italy welcomes Clifton to the Coliseum. The game schedules will follow the same format as above.
