Obituary: Annie Lou Hamby Plumhoff, 1925 – 2012
Annie Plumhoff passed from this life at her home on March 05, 2012 at the age of 86. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 07, 2012 at Waxahachie City Cemetery. Annie was born at Hammock just south of Italy on July 15, 1925 to her parents Otis and Ora Graves Hamby.
She grew up on the farm with three brothers and two sisters. She was a hard worker, working not only on the farm, but also in the sewing factories in Italy and Waxahachie for thirty years. Later in life, she left the farm and moved to Waxahachie and started in the house rental business after marrying Edward Plumhoff Jr.
She was family oriented and always had time for her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Sam and R.D. Hamby, sisters Pearl Cockerham and Tuila Mae Anderson and son Donald Ray Riddle. Survived by son: Alvin and wife Elaine Riddle of Grandview, brother Donald and wife Margaret Hamby of Cleburne. Daughter in law Nelda Riddle of Bowie. Grandchildren Clint and wife Brenda Riddle and Curtis and wife Michele Riddle of Italy, Jennifer and husband Steffen of Alxandria, Virginia, Carrie and husband Jonathan Normand of Stephenville and Kelly and wife Kristi of Waxahachie. Nephews Gerald, Ronnie and Donnie Cockerham of Teague and Nieces Carol Cleary of Baytown and Linda Ferguson of Teague. Great Grandchildren: Nolan, Abby, Clay, Alan, Courtney, Cole, Kelly Dawn and Carsyn.
