Georgia Graves Phillips Babb, age 80, of Whitney passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab in Italy. She was born February 22, 1932 in Italy to Lester and Cynthia (Cockerham) Graves. She graduated from Italy High School in 1949.

Georgia had lived in Levelland for 25 years. She loved reading, gardening, all sports especially golf and cats. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. 

Georgia is survived by two daughters, Jeri Phillips of McKinney and Patty Carter of Whitney; five grandchildren, Billy Little of Eunice, NM, Tammy Little of Levelland, Lori Little of Dallas, Rene Hughes of Midland and Travis Carter, Jr. of San Antonio; thirteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Grady Graves and wife Gay of Holliday, Texas and Gordon Graves and wife Nadine of Lancaster and numerous nieces and nephews. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Olan and Helen Graves and Jim and Betty Graves; one sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Bo Janes. 

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at the Italy Cemetery.
