Easter egg fun at S M Dunlap Public Library
Saturday morning at the S.M. Dunlap Library in Italy about 9:00 a.m. you could see so many smiles and hear so much laughter coming from all of the children waiting to hunt eggs. The eggs were everywhere. There were so many eggs that some of the children’s baskets were over flowing.
Even though there are two Easter egg hunts now in Italy they both seem to be well visited by the community. The Mayor’s Egg hunt had tons of fun for the community too.
This particular Easter egg hunt held at the library has been going on for twenty-nine years now and next year makes thirty.
Mrs. French the librarian said that the egg hunt began with Mrs. Marchman who was there before her. Marchman had worked there for two years before Mrs. French took over.
Alison Green was in charge of the drinks and cookies. “I love working on the Easter egg hunt. I love seeing all the smiling faces on the kids when they are counting all of their eggs!”
Another great day in our wonderful little town of Italy, Texas.
