The Avalon Water and Sewer Service Corporation (AWSSC) met Monday evening for a special called meeting where they accepted the resignation of board members Patsy Russell (vice president) and Santos Munguia (director).

The board motioned to nominate Jimmy Brown and Jeremy Langley for temporary positions on the board for the rest of the year. The board voted and the motion was unanimously carried through.

Approval of April 9, 2012 minutes was tabled to be discussed at the next regular board meeting.

Jessie Munguia (board attorney) suggested to table the discussion and any action on accepting pro-bono legal representation until the next regular meeting, it was motioned and unanimously accepted.

The board broke to go into Executive Session to formulate a response of alleged Open Meetings Violation and formulate a response of a blackmail threat.

At 8:16 pm the board members came back from Executive Session. David Waishes (president) said they had discussed the alleged Open Meetings Violation and the blackmail threat and explained nothing had been settled. It would be tabled to the next regular meeting.
