Clara C. Roberts, age 93, of Italy, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab. She was born September 11, 1918 in Lewisville, to P. F. and Fannie (Andrews) Smotherman.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Burnett Roberts; two daughters, Lana Lile and Jennifer Freeze; brother, Lemuel Smotherman and three sisters, Juanita Batte, Eloise Similar and Annie Spriggs.  Survivors include her son-in-law, Roy Freeze and his wife, Liz; granddaughters, Stacie Mathis, Courtney and Mallory Freeze and Charmaine Kangas; grandsons, Jeremy and Shaun Freeze; great granddaughters, Laurie Newton, Rachel and Emma Kangas; great grandsons, Logan and Connor Newton and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at 9AM Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy.  Funeral services will follow at 10AM with Brother Ronnie Dabney officiating.  Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dan Batte, Danny Cates, Victor Delephimne, Paul Hopkins and Chris Roberts.
