On Monday, at the special called meeting of the Italy ISD Board of Trustees, the first item of business was discussion and consideration of a technology contract with TexServe.

With this contract, TexServe will provide much needed technology support and direction for the district.

Mr. Joffre commented, “The help, technology and also training that comes with this (technology proposal) is a big plus.”

Letha Mullins, TexServe representative stated during the discussion, “We will get the right people involved for all of your technology needs.”

The board unanimously approved the three year contract with TexServe.

After a 30 minute Executive Session, the Board reconvened and approved contracts for:

• Matthew Patterson (coming from San Benito ISD) as High School Science Teacher
• James Rogers (coming from Sharyland ISD) as Elementary P.E. Teacher and Varsity Volleyball Coach

The board took no action on hiring a jr high school science teacher/coach (item IV-B on the agenda).
