Guns & Hoses

The Italy Police Department challenges the Italy Fire Department to a “Guns & Hoses” softball game as a fundraiser for the “Shop with a COP” program. "With the monies raised going to our “Shop with a COP” charity, we are hoping for a great turn out," shared Italy Police Chief Diron Hill.

Last year’s “Shop with a COP” fundraiser was extremely successful helping to provide toys and meals for local families in need. 

Schedule:

  • Saturday, July 7, from 6:00 p.m. till 10:00 p.m. at Upchurch Ball Park in Italy
  • The “Guns and Hoses” Softball Game will start at 7:00 p.m.
  • Possible game between that winner and a community team at 8:00 p.m.
  • Professional fireworks show after dark
  • Face painting, hot dogs and drinks (while supplies last)
  • We are raising money for “Shop with a COP.” Donations will be appreciated during the event and will go towards “Shop with a COP” along with concession stand proceeds.
  • The game will be 7 innings or 1 hour in length — whichever is first. There will be a 15 run limit.
