Truman Commons, 77, of Italy passed away at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas on Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was born on February 16, 1935 in Lueders, Texas to Vernon and Iva Commons. On August 17, 1963, he married Nelda Doyle. He retired from Texas Utilities as a computer programmer. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Italy. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Voncille Bates, and two nephews Brady Bates and Steve Commons. 

Survivors include his wife Nelda, his daughter and son-in-law Susan and Mark Jacinto, and two grandchildren Reid and Ashlyn all of Italy, and one brother Carroll Commons and wife Frances of Burleson. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm Sunday, July 15, 2012 in the  Boze Mitchell McKibbin Chapel in Italy with Rev. Joseph Barrett presiding. Interment will follow in the Frost Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Reid Jacinto, Larry Mitchell, Pat Doyle, Billy Bason, Jimmy Mitchell, and Olin Luster 

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy Saturday evening from 6-8pm.
