Italy — The Lady Gladiators put the “Fun” in fundraiser on Saturday by holding a car wash to raise money for their volleyball team. It was a busy day for head coach Jessika Robinson and her JV and varsity squads who hosted an Alumni Game inside Italy Coliseum while simultaneously cleaning cars in front of the First Baptist Church of Italy. After all, cleanliness is next to godliness!

Every player did their part whether it was waving signs to lure travelers, scrubbing, rinsing or drying. Even an injured Tara Wallis managed to collect the money. In the end, the car wash raised several hundred dollars for the team while the Alumni Game raised everyone’s team spirit. Plus, their will be plenty of shiny cars dropping kids off during this first week of school.

Lady Gladiator Volleyball wishes to thank everyone for supporting the players and invites fans to their next away game against the Mildred Lady Eagles starting at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28.

Go Lady Gladiators!
