Italy — Italy’s Junior High Girls volleyball teams welcomed neighbors and friendly rivals, the Milford Girl Bulldogs, into the dome on Monday for a couple of matches. With one round of games already under Italy’s waist ties, the Girl Bulldogs proved to be another good test early in the season.

Milford’s 7th Grade squad held their own against Italy to win in two sets, 25-17 and 25-18. Italy’s 8th Grade girls had their hands full as well. Milford edged out the first set 25-20 and then won the second set to help Milford completely sweep Italy on the afternoon.

The season is still young and Italy’s ladies are working hard for coach Lindsay Coffman while having fun learning more about the game.
