Gladiator quarterback Marvin Cox has been nominated for the Gridiron Legends Player of the Week award, presented by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine on behalf of Cavender’s and Wrangler.

Marvin is one of ten nominees for the weekly statewide award, which is 100% decided by fan voting. The poll, located at www.texasfootball.com, closes Friday at noon. Additionally, we’ve set up a facebook page that should help you spread the word virally through the community:

Two reasons why every Italy fan should vote:

  1. Each week’s Player of the Week winner is automatically a candidate for our Player of the YEAR award. This player will follow in the footsteps of 2010 winner Johnny Manziel and 2011 winner Johnathan Gray in being honored at halftime of the Meineke Car Care Bowl at Houston’s Reliant Stadium in December.
  2. With each vote cast, the voter will receive a special discount on Wrangler jeans from Cavender’s Boot City.
