“Frost United Methodist Church has begun offering an addiction recovery ministry on Wednesday nights. We have about five people regularly meeting and we are trying to get the word out to area churches and schools. Most groups meet in Hillsboro, Ennis or Corsicana and it can be hard for people to make them. We are in hopes that by having a closer group we might be able to help more people,” according to First United Methodist Pastor of Italy and Frost, Leah Hidde-Gregory. “Because of the dynamics of this particular group are asking that you not send anyone under the age of 18. We are in hopes of starting a program later on for a younger age group,” she explained.

“These meetings will be sponsored by an AA group and the church is working on getting a charter with AA. We already have a good little group started, so with the new year and resolutions I wanted to advertise it,” Pastor Leah said.

This group is meeting every Wednesday night at Frost United Methodist Church in the library. At 6:00pm, a free snack supper is served and the meeting begins at 7:00pm.
