Evelyn Jenkins, age 92, of Italy, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Premier Transitional Care in Dallas where she was currently residing.

She was born June 19, 1920 in Italy to George and Hatti (Varner) Green. Evelyn married Ralph Jenkins on July 13, 1940 and they were married in excess of 58 years. She was a longtime member of the Central Baptist Church in Italy and retired from Haggars in Waxahachie.

Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Albert of Denton; three granddaughters, Chelsea Seymour and husband Justin of Addison, Lisa McNeme and husband Raymond of Frisco and Tisa Provencio of Coppell; one grandson, Scot Alpert and wife Michele of Addison; eight great grandchildren, Devin, Camden and Sienna Alpert, Collin McNeme, Meagan Jones, Eddie, Evan and Eric Provencio. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, George and Hatti Green; husband, Ralph Jenkins; her son, Hal D. Jenkins and twelve brothers and sisters, Floyd Green, Earnest Green, Irvin Green, Ethel Hammonds, Blanche McCarty, Bill Green, Jaunita Fay Green, Ruth Henry, George Green, Jr., Virginia Green, Jack Green and Emily Orrline Martin.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy.

Funeral services will be 2PM Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel with Pastor Todd Gray officiating. Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jason Speer, John Dale Speer, James Ridlehuber, Jerry Ridlehuber, Ricky Boyd, Eddie Green, Brian Mathiowetz and Steven Varner. Honorary pallbearers will be Murrie Wainscott, Bob Windham, Howard Morgan, Weldon Holley and James Eagle.
