Wow! Who would have thought our little town of Italy would have a Taco Bell! Well, we have one and to make it official, the ‘red ribbon’ was ceremoniously cut Friday afternoon by Dennis Durrett the franchise owner of Taco Bell.

Mayor Jackson was present with many City Hall employees cheering Dennis on when he cut the ‘red ribbon’. Durrett said, “I am so excited and very pleased to serve the City of Italy. The City of Italy was extremely helpful with helping us get permits and with other construction phases. I am very glad to be here.”

“We are glad to have Taco Bell here. We are glad to have a new addition to ‘restaurant row.’ This is a good sign of growth for Italy and it will really help us bring in even more sales tax which is really good for the city,” Mayor Jackson smilingly said.

So now when you have a craving for steak burritos, beans and cheese, tacos, salads, chalupas, corditas and nachos you know where to go! Italy now has a Taco Bell!
