Several activities kept local residents, Italy High School student organizations and Stafford Elementary students busy on Saturday with several fundraisers taking advantage of a gorgeous Texas day.

The IHS Class of 2015 held a rummage sale downtown and packed in over $800! The reining 2013 Ellis County Cinderella Tot, 5-year old Azlin Itson, and her family staged a car wash at AutoZone in Waxahachie with the Azlin doing her part to keep Ellis County sparkling as much as her tiara. The Italy Jr. High and High School cheerleaders combined their spirit during their car wash to raise money which was a splashing success next to Lowe’s, also in Waxahachie.

Thanks to everyone who stopped to shop and to all you motorists who decided to have that annoying, “Wash Me,” note cleaned off your cars and trucks to support the kids and their causes!

The IHS Class of 2015 would like to extend a special “thank you” to Dr. John Arkusinski for allowing the class to use the parking lot of his vacant office building in downtown Italy for their rummage sale.
