The 2nd annual Guns vs. Hoses softball game will be Saturday, July 6, at the Italy High school softball field. The event will feature a pre-game homerun derby, a friendly game between the Italy Police Department and the Italy Fire Department and then a fireworks show immediately afterwards.

The Italy P.D. were the victors in the inaugural game last season which left the Italy F.D. hot under the collar and looking forward to the rematch. This should be a good one!

Schedule Of Events:

Saturday, July 6th
Gates open at 6:00 p.m.
Signup for the Homerun Derby at 6:00 p.m.
Home Run Derby starts at 6:30 p.m.
Guns vs. Hoses softball game starts at 7:00 p.m.
Fireworks begin at dark

Homerun Derby Participation:

$50.00 for 10 pitches
Must be 16 year of age or older to enter
Pre-signup at the Italy Police Department
Signup at event begins at 6:00 p.m.
Most homeruns wins a prize!
In case of a tie, 5 extra pitches will decide the winner

All proceeds to benefit the Italy Shop With A Cop Program which assists deserving Italy Stafford Elementary students and their families during the Christmas holiday.
