Carrie Deanna Hilliard, age 46, of Italy passed away June 22, 2013 in Ennis. She was born October 2, 1966 in Dallas to Jessie Douglas and Donna Jo (McConnell) Chambers. Carrie was a graduate of Hubbard High School, Navarro College and the University of Texas at Arlington. She and Mark Hilliard were married July 19, 1993 at Central Baptist Church in Italy.

Carrie was fun, had a good sense of humor and was a family person who loved her kids and her mother. She worked at Parkland Hospital before she became her mother’s caregiver. She was an amazing caretaker and made everyone she helped feel accepted and like family. She was a member of the Church of Christ and also Central Baptist Church of Italy.

Carrie’s survivors include her husband Mark, of Arlington, a daughter and a son, Heather Hilliard and Mark Samuel Hilliard, both of Italy, a brother, Douglas D. Chambers and wife Cyndi of Houston, and her mother, Donna Chambers of Italy. She was preceded in death by her father Jessie Douglas Chambers and her brother Chris Chambers.

Visitation for family and friends will be from l:00 to 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 25, 2013, with funeral services to follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Italy, with Randy McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery.
