We all know Keith and Margaret Helms from Helm’s Garage in Italy, Texas. Well they didn’t just stop there! They now have a new store called Helm’s Grocery and Snow Cones. And, it is located in Milford, Texas. There are no bounds to their entrepreneurship!

The idea behind this store is to help Milford and surrounding towns with items you can get right there and not have to go to Waxahachie or Hillsboro. Margaret said, “We carry a little bit of everything here. We have a hardware section, small grocery items such as canned goods, paper plates, plastic silverware, bread, hot dog buns, hamburger buns, milk, some refrigerated items all the way to light fixtures, some antiques, ball caps and Milford tshirts, a little bit of everything. We also sell snow cones. We have eleven flavors to chose from. If you want a snow cone we can set you up!”

Helm’s Grocery and Snow Cones opened up in the middle of August. Margaret said, “We are doing pretty good, the business is building up, we are getting more customers all the time.”

When asked why Milford, Margaret explained, “We are trying to help the Milford community by giving them a service. I like Milford, like the community, like the people and like the peace and quiet of a small town. The people here support the Mayor in his efforts to bring new businesses to Milford and Keith and I are glad to be a part of that.”

She went on to say, “This business gives us a break from cars! It is good therapy and it is fun!”

Helm’s Grocery is located downtown Milford on Main Street. Their hours of operation are Sunday thru Saturday 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
