Italy — Italy’s combined junior high Gladiators found a way on the game’s final play to defeat Hubbard 12-6 on a slippery Willis field. Italy’s JV Gladiators were on a solid start as well but Hubbard struck before the lightning could to go up 8-0 in the second-quarter. The game was soon delayed just before halftime and then cancelled altogether due to the lightning in the area.
