Obituary: Bobbie G. Whiteaker, 1932 – 2013
Bobbie G. Whiteaker, 80, formerly of Italy, passed away in Fort Worth on Sunday, October 13, 2013.
Bobbie was born in Italy on December 11, 1932 to the late Roy and Mamie (Parten) Gentry. Raised in Italy, she graduated from Italy High School with the class of 1950. On March 19, 1958 she married William “Bill” Whiteaker, and they shared over 56 years together before her passing.
Along with her husband Bill, Bobbie is survived by her son, Kenneth Phillips; grandson, Chris (Amanda) Phillips; step-grandchildren, Charlene Barrier and Brittanie Phillips; and great-granddaughter, Delia Phillips. She is also survived by her sister-in-law. Mildred (John) Gentry-Letkiewicz; nephew, George Lumpkin; nephew, Danny Gentry and niece, Carol Will.
Along with Bobbie’s parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, William (Bill) Thomas Gentry; and sister, Dorothy Lumpkin.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Italy Cemetery.
Following services, lunch will be served at the Church of God Annex on College Street, followed by visitation with family and friends at the home of Mildred and John Letkiewicz on Harpold Street.
