Italy defeats Bynum 81-40 during second-round of Hubbard basketball tournament

Hubbard — With head coach Brandon Ganske and assistant coaches Larry Mayberry and Jon Cady figuring out the Xs and Os, the Italy Gladiators had their best performance of the season from beginning to end during an 81-40 tournament win over Bynum Friday in Hubbard.
Senior guards Tyler Anderson and freshman guard Kevin Johnson, who improves with every game, guided the Gladiators on offense but it was a career-high 32-point output from senior forward Trevon Robertson that made the difference for Italy in this one.
Robertson went 5-of-8 from the line and knocked down three 3-pointers while senior teammate Darol Mayberry put in one 3-pointer to finish with 5-points.
Also having a big impact for the Gladiators were Ty windham with 11-points, Tyler Vencill with 7-points and Mason Womack with 6-point. Post players Zain Byers had 6-points as well while Kevin Roldan went 1-of-2 from the charity stripe.
