Trenton overcomes a quick start by the Gladiators to claim the area title

Forney — A valiant effort by the Gladiators generated many memorable images but Italy was unable to generate a second playoff win after defeating Valley View for the bi-disitrict title in round-1.
The Tigers overcame an early 12-point deficit to the Gladiators after Italy’s Trevon Robertson made 5-of-5 from 3-point range and a total of 17-points to conclude the first-period. By halftime, Trenton only trailed 36-34 before eventually winning the area matchup 76-57.
The Gladiators finished their 2013-2014 season as district runner-ups, bi-district champions and area finalists.
