In Memory of Tim Archer
Many of us knew and liked Tim Archer, who passed away on March 2. He was a student of history, an avid reader, and a Vietnam veteran who served his country bravely and well.
Tim was born in California but became a Texan, and a citizen of Italy, and was well known for gladly helping anyone who needed help. He worked at the Library for many years as our Handyman, but I suspect he took the job ( at least partly), to get first crack at all the new books!
Tim could dissect historical events with a college professor…he was that knowledgeable and well read. He could also handle anything mechanical and kept things at the Library in good repair with great competence. He was a friend to all.
In his Memory and in his Honor, we place in our library, the book The Untold History of the United States, by Peter Kuznick, a story of the little known but important happenings in our nation‘s history.
Fair thee well on your last journey, Tim.
