Good luck to our Italy Track and Field athletes at Regionals in Abilene! (Barry Byers)
Italy Neotribune, on behalf of Italy ISD Athletic Director Charles Tindol, would like to wish Italy’s track and Field athletes the best of luck during their upcoming regional meet. The regional track meet is being held inside Elmer Gray Stadium on the Abilene Christian University campus. The two-day event event begins Friday, April 25 and concludes Saturday, April 26.
For those that advance, the state meet will be held at the University of Texas campus in Austin on Friday, May 9 thru Saturday, May 10 inside Mike A. Myers Stadium.
The following athletes will be representing Italy’s track and field team at regionals:
- Eric Carson — Triple Jump, Long Jump
- TaMarcus Sheppard — High Jump
- Kortnei Johnson — 100m Dash, 200m Dash, 400m Relay
- Halee Turner — 100m Hurdles, Triple Jump
- Janae Robertson — 200m Dash, 400m Relay, 800m Relay
- Cory Chance — Shot put
- Kendra Copeland — 400m Relay, 800m Relay
- April Lusk — 400m Relay, 800m Relay
- K’Breona Davis — 800m Relay
