Services for Bobbie Helms Jones, 83, of Tyler, will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerry Giles officiating.

Mrs. Jones passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 after a brief illness with her husband and children at her side.

She was born February 26, 1931 in Avalon, Texas to Leland and Nettie Gillespie Helms.
Bobbie and “Bo” Jones started Tyler Bumper Service Company in October 1966. They serviced many body shops in East Texas with Chrome Bumpers. Many friends were made through the years of business. Bobbie was the “Boss Lady” and was well respected by the employees and customers. She was an exceptionally hard working, strong-willed and dedicated woman. She loved her family very much and will be dearly missed by all of her friends and family who loved her much in return.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Floyd and Lloyd Helms of Ennis, Texas.

She is survived by her loving family including her husband of 59 years, H.D. “Bo” Jones; children, Larry D. Jones of Tyler, Texas, Sherri J. McLarty and husband S.P. “Pat” of Flint, Texas; grandchildren, Courtney D. Fisher and husband Adam of Thorndale, Texas, Casey Couch and husband Adam of San Marcos, Texas, Chelsi J. McLarty of Fort Worth, Texas, Sean Conley McLarty of Flint, Texas; great-grandchildren, Emmerson , Hannah and Jake Fisher of Thorndale, Texas and Tru, Maddux and Cannon Couch of San Marcos, Texas; brothers, James, Lynn and Darrell Helms; sister-in-law, Joyce Helms of Italy, Texas and many nieces and nephews along with great-nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Gary Helms, Wendell Helms, Kevin Helms, Terry Helms, Larry Jones, Conley McLarty and Pat McLarty.

Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
