Parent/Guardian:
Cody is the son of Rebecca and Randy Boyd of Italy.

Plans after High School:
After graduating Italy high school in 2015, Cody plans on attending college to become a Physical Therapist or a Physical Therapist Assistant. Cody’s college choice is still undecided, but he plans on going somewhere close. If his therapy plan fails, Cody will pursue becoming a history teacher/coach.

Personal/Scholastic Accomplishments:
During his high school and junior high years Cody has been in the NJHS and NHS Italy chapters. Cody also participated in the Academic Banquet his junior year and hopes to go again this year. He’s currently working on graduating with honors this May.

Influential Person:
Cody’s family includes the most influential people in his life. Cody says there is not one person solely but that they all work well together. They always encourage each other and help each other when they can. He looks up to his older relatives such as his cousins, and he uses their accomplishments to help better himself. Cody says they all push each other to do better.

Educator Appreciation:
Cody says, “I would like to thank Mrs. Moreland and Mrs. Holden for showing me everything I know about math and English. Mrs. Moreland is the best English teacher I’ve ever had. She has greatly improved my writing skills. Mrs. Holden has been teaching me math since my 8th grade year, and I have improved in math every year. I used to dread math, but she has taught a better way for me to learn.”
