Parents/Guardians:
John’s parents are Nancy and Brentley Byers of Venus. His granddad is Ervin Byers of Italy.

Plans after High School:
John would like to attend college and play baseball while completing his Welding Certificate.

Personal/Scholastic Accomplishments:
John has played varsity baseball since his freshman year. He has received several awards including All-District DH, First Team All-District Infielder, and First Team All-District Utility Player. He was a co-district leader with 2 homeruns in 2014. During his Junior year, he received Honorable Mention in Football. Scholastically, he will receive his high school diploma and have the honor of graduating with his classmates!

Influential Person:
The most influential person in John’s life has always been his Grandmother (Ann Byers). She never had any negative words towards anyone. John’s Grandmother accepted others and loved them no matter what accomplishments they made or the struggles they had. She cared for others always. She was one of John’s biggest supporters in the classroom and on the fields.

Educator Appreciation:
“The educator that I would like to recognize is Mrs. Tina Richards. She has gone above and beyond to let me know that I can always overcome any obstacle I might encounter. She has never treated me as a student with learning difficulties. She taught me to succeed in school and to have confidence when taking on any challenges that surface.”
