Parent/Guardian:
Lupita is the daughter of Marcelino and Maria Rincon.

Plans after High School:
Lupita plans to attend Navarro or Hill College to pursue becoming a registered nurse; if she feels like it’s the right career move, she would then like to become a family practitioner. Afterwards she would like to travel to small towns in Mexico that have no medical clinics and make a positive change since many of the people die due to the lack of doctor’s and medical attention in the hospitals.

Personal/Scholastic Accomplishments:
Lupita has participated in several art competitions and received 5th place for her oil pastel drawing in Waxahachie; she has received other awards for art as well. Her original design was also selected to become the cover for this year’s high school yearbook.

Influential Person:
Lupita’s father, Marcelino, is very influential in her life. He accomplished his high school GED. He came to the United States when he was young, and worked hard to help his parents. Lupita says he has always worked from sun up to sun down, non stop, so his children could go to school and graduate. He always supports her decisions. He is excited and proud to hear that Lupita is considering going to college. He might be a little strict when it come to his children’s grades and behavior but Lupita knows he does it so she can have the future he always wanted to have.
