Wallace “Sonny” Crooks, 81, of Rosebud, died Monday, January 12, 2015 in a Temple Hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church in Rosebud. Burial will follow in Bluebonnet Cemetery near Rosebud.

Mr. Crooks was born May 24, 1933 in Italy to Robert and Henrietta Brooks Crooks. He lived most of his life in Rosebud and was a retired cook for the Army Air Force Exchange in Killeen.

He is survived by two sons, David Knox of Rosebud and Nathan Anderson of Killeen
Seven daughters, Katherine Finley of Waco, Joann Crooks of Arlington, Bonnie Richardson of Rosebud, Kathy Finley of Fort Worth, Joyceline Scott of Tomlinson Hill, Patricia Knox of Waco, and Vera Henderson of Houston.

He had 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Roger Knox, three brothers and one sister.

Viewing will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with family visitation from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
