Congratulations to Italy Gladiator senior Cody Boyd. Boyd was chosen as an Honorable Mention member of the 2014-2015 Academic All-State Football Team as voted on by the Texas High School Coaches Association in conjunction with the United States Marine Corps.

Boyd was presented his certificate this past week by Italy Athletic Director/Head Football Coach Charles Tindol.

Boyd embodies the true definition of a student-athlete and with his accomplishment of a 3.207 GPA, becomes the 60th Gladiator to be added to the coveted Golden Wall of Fame. Only senior student-athletes that have maintained higher than a 92 GPA throughout all four years of high school are eligible to be nominated for this award.

Boyd is Italy Football’s first Academic All-State award winner to be added to the Wall of Fame.
