Paula Harris, age 85, of Italy, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Trinity Mission Health & Rehab. She was born April 21, 1929 in Iredell, Texas to William L. and Abby (Russell) Morgan. Paula graduated from Italy High School in 1947 and worked for the post office for 25 years. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church and served as an Elder at the Park Presbyterian Church in Italy where she enjoyed serving the church. She loved to sew and cook, specializing in fried chicken and chocolate pie. Paula was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her seven children, Sandra Graves and husband Macky of Italy, Paulette Smith and husband Don of Fort Worth, Stevan Varner and wife Kim of Italy, Debbie Moore and husband Kent of College Station, Melinda Harris, Julie Rice and husband Bob of Frisco and Henry Harris and wife Susan of Italy; seventeen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; one brother, Corky Morgan and wife Margaret; one sister, Alice Riddle; one daughter-in-law, Becky Harris and numerous nieces and nephews. Paula was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Gerald Varner; second husband, Billie Tom Harris; two sons, Dana Marvin Varner and Billie Mills Harris.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8PM Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy.

Funeral service will be 2PM Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Central Baptist Church in Italy with Pastor Joseph Barrett officiating. Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery.
