Italy High School Theater News
On Thursday, March 26, the Italy High School drama class participated in the District 12-2A One-Act Play Contest at the Frost Performing Arts Center, performing “Voices” by Richard Lortz.
The play tells the story of a grieving couple who is trying to deal with the unexpected loss of a child and the subsequent strain put on their relationship, while stranded in an old New England mansion during an epic winter storm.
The students not only advanced to the bi-district competition in Hamilton on April 11, but they also earned the following individual honors:
•Outstanding Crew Member: Colton Allen
•Honorable Mention Cast Member: Ecclesia Velasco
•All-Star Cast Member: Joseph Celis
•Best Actress: Tia Russell
Directors for the class are Nicole Tindol and David Graves. Congratulations to these and all the Italy High School theater students for a fine performance, and best of luck at the next level of competition!
