Jack Guthrie, age 91, of Italy, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab in Italy. He was born October 4, 1924 in Avalon to Alvin W. and Elfie (Green) Guthrie. Jack was a loving father, grandfather and great/great grandfather. He was the pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in Italy for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Guthrie, December 21, 2009.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Jack Guthrie, Jr. of Grand Prairie; grandchildren, Rodney Guthrie of Italy, Kellie Smith of Austin and Aaron Guthrie of Colorado Springs, Colorado; great grandchildren, Justin Guthrie of Italy, Kayleigh Guthrie and Aaron Guthrie Jr., both of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Jacqueline Ramirez of Austin; great/great grandchildren, Jett Guthrie and Isabella Florez of Italy.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy with Reverend Bill Morgan, Jack Guthrie, Jr. and Shaun Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Guthrie, Steve Guthrie, Rodney Guthrie, Ronnie Guthrie, Randy Muirhead and Mike Vaughan.
