Allen left this life on November 17, 2015, he was born in Athens to Carl and Lola Ballard. He spent his growing years in Athens and Forreston. He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass in which he dedicated 35 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Ballard.

He is survived by his children, Jeanne and Eric Gaines of Waxahachie, Daniel and Kelly Ballard of Italy, James and Allison Ballard of Waxahachie, and John and Rachel Ward of Brinkley, Arkansas; and his grandchildren; Brennon and Amy Ballard, Kendal, Chandler, Riley, Austin, Nolan, Chloe, Hunter, Wyatt, Bryce, John Owen and Adele. He leaves behind his wife Debbie Ballard, and his sisters Cathy Scott and Lora McCullough, and his brother Fred Ballard, and many nieces and nephews and friends he considered family.

Visitation for family and friends will be 1-3:00PM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Waxahachie. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:00PM directly following the visitation.
