Donnie E. Weaver, age 85, of Italy, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Trinity Mission Health & Rehab. He was born December 5, 1929 in Boz, Texas to Jim and Lottie (Wade) Weaver. Donnie married Virginia Tole on August 26, 1949.

Donnie was a farmer for most of his life and after his retirement went to work for Lyle Truck and Tractor and then Ellis County Pct. 3. His favorite pastime was playing dominos with family and friends. Donnie was a longtime member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Virginia Weaver; four children, Linda Harrison, Jerry Weaver and wife Jo Ann, Jimmy Weaver and wife Sharrie, Lisa Saxon and husband Paul; nine grandchildren, Letha Harrison, Leat Harrison, Jr., Robert Weaver, David Weaver, Daniel Weaver, Brian Weaver, Andy Saxon, Jon Saxon, Ethan Saxon; thirteen great grandchildren, Ashton, Nick, Jack, Max, Lillie, Sophie, Jayden, Kylie, DeAnthony, Amaya, Zaiden, Hailey and Peyton; one brother, Olin Weaver and wife Shelby and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Weaver; mother, Lottie Rudd; four sisters, Pearl Powers, Jean Davis, Betty Boyd and Ruth Ellis; two brothers, James Weaver and Bob Weaver.

Visitation for family and friends will be 3PM to 5PM Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy.

Funeral services will be 2PM Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel with Mr. Walter Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow at Italy Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Weaver, Daniel Weaver, Brian Weaver, Andy Saxon, Jon Saxon, Ethan Saxon, Leat Harrison, Jr. and Robert Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Letha Harrison and Mackey Graves.
