Approximately 140 students from Italy High School are participating in “The President’s Own” U.S. Marine Band’s “Sousa’s March Mania” competition which began recently.

What is “March Mania?” From March 7 through April 6, the Marine Band is hosting a tournament pitting 32 marches against each other for Italy HS students, other students, and Marine Band fans worldwide to determine which march is the favorite. The students will listen to the competing marches, complete a tournament bracket, and vote for their favorites as individuals or as a class! The champion march will be announced on April 7. In order to win “Sousa’s March Mania” they must fill out and maintain a perfect bracket. If they do, they’ll be named an honorary “March King” for a day!
